Dr. Charles H. Patti Senior Associate Dean and Chief Academic Officer |
Charles Patti is the Senior Associate Dean and Chief Academic Officer at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. Previously, he was Professor and Director of the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Program of the Daniels College of Business. Before that, he was professor and Head of the School of Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations, Faculty of Business, at Queensland University of Technology. Prior to joining QUT in 1997, he had been a member of the staff at the University of Hartford, the University of Denver, and Arizona State University. He has also held a number of international teaching assignments, including Otago University (New Zealand), Helsinki School of Economics (Finland), and Bocconi University (Italy). He is the author and co-author of seven books and dozens of journal articles, business case studies, and reports. Among his books are: Cases in Marketing and Marketing Communication (Pearson Education Australia), Business-to-Business Advertising (McGraw-Hill Irwin), Advertising: A Decision-Making Approach (Harcourt), and The Making of Effective Advertising (Prentice-Hall). His research has appeared in a number of journals, including the Journal of Business Ethics, the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Advertising Research, the Journal of Promotion Management, and the Journal of Marketing Communications. Professor Patti is the Associate Editor for the Journal of Marketing Communications and the Singapore Management Review. He is also on the editorial boards of the Journal of Promotion Management and the Journal of Marketing Education. His consultancies take three forms: advice on marketing and marketing communication strategy; expert witness assignments; and corporate training and development. Consultancy clients include a wide variety of industries and organizations in both the private and public sectors. Clients include: American Telephone Advertising, Arizona Commission on the Arts, Chubb Security, Citibank, Colorado Tourism Board, Denver Museum of Art, Frontier Airlines, McDonald’s, Mountain Bell, New Zealand Telecom, Otis Elevator, Queensland State Development Office, Siemens, Sunsuper Pty Ltd, Texas Instruments, and U.S. Department of Commerce (Job Corps). Professor Patti is a Board Member of the Marketing Educators’ Association and the Australia-New Zealand Marketing Academy. Professor Patti holds a PhD degree from the
