A three-star hotel located in a quiet part of the city, but also very close to the city centre. Rates per room (including breakfast):

Delegates & guests are required to wear conference name tags at all times for admittance to events and for security.
Conference Fees
Includes Material, Sunday Dinner at the University; Monday Gala Dinner at Spilberk castle; Tuesday P.M. guided tour of Lednice castle and some of the Unesco-heritage sites of Palava, followed by dinner at a wine-cellar in Cejkovice; Mon-Wed Lunch & Refreshments during the Conference.

Optional Mid-morning and Afternoon: Olomouc, guided walking/shopping/lunch (pay as you go) through Olomouc. After Prague, the historical centre of Olomouc is the most significant monument reservation in the Czech Republic. The oldest part of the town now occupies the area on which formerly stood an 11th C castle. In its place the Cathedral of St. Wenceslav was built around 1110. Historically valuable is the towns so-called Romanic Palace and many significant, beautifully restored and preserved baroque buildings. The tour includes transportation, entrance fees and guide.

Optional (Morning) Tour of Villa Tugendhat - a UNESCO heritage site.
Even at the time it was built, the residential villa at Number 45,Cernopolni Street in the Cerna Pole quarter of the city of Brno, attracted considerable attention. Its fame grew steadily wit the passage of time, as did its recognition in the context of modern architectural work, confirming its unique position within its field: Villa Tugendhat, the most significant building to be completed by the German architect Mies van der Rohe on European ground, has become a cornerstone in the history of 20th C architecture.

Thursday-Sunday, July 7-10, 2005
Four Day Cultural/Educational Post Conference Tour
Available Only as Offered. Day One. Visit of Austerlitz (Slavkov), site of the 1805 Battle of the Three Emperors (Russian Tsar, Austrian Emperor and Napoleon) followed by a visit of Moravsky kras (Moravian Karst), the most significant karst area in the Czech Republic. Limestone formations from the Devonian period (350-380 million years ago) have developed within an area of 25 km long and 3-6 km wide zone north of Brno. Tour of the caves by boat, hiking (optional), traveling by small roadtrain and cable car. Includes open air dinner. Overnight stay in conference hotel in Brno. Day Two. Travel through beautiful Moravian country side. Visits to Namest nad Oslavou, Telc and Cesky Krumlov, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful towns in the Czech Republic. Overnight stay in Trebon. Day Three. Visit Hluboka Chateau and Karlstejn (near Prague). Overnight stay. Day Four. After breakfast travel to Prague. Short introductory city tour. Educational/cultural post conference tour ends. Limited seating. Early registration - March 1, 2005 - is required. Travel in modern tour bus, includes 3 nights hotel & breakfast, 2 lunches & 3 dinners, admission fees, guides, and entertainment.

Conference Registration Fees (less $80) will be refunded upon written request received prior to 5/29/05 or alternatively, a replacement may be named; Tours, optional events: 85% will be refunded upon written request received prior to 4/10/05, 45% prior to 5/3/05.
